\nVacancies – Pulmoddai Plant
\nApplications are invited from qualified applicants for the following posts
\nat fully government owned Lanka Mineral Sands Limited.
\nJunior Managerial Service Category (JM-1-2)
\nStation where the vacancy exists – Pulmoddai Plant (No. of
\nVacancies – 01)
\nExternal Applicants
\n Should have obtained one of the following qualifications:
\nEducational Qualifications \/ Professional Qualifications
\n1) Should have obtained a degree in Engineering (Mining \/
\nMechanical \/ Electrical \/ Production \/ Civil) from a university
\nrecognized by the University Grants Commission
\n2) Should have obtained a Proficiency Certificate of not less than
\nNVQ Level Seven (07) issued by a Technical \/ Vocational
\nTraining Institute recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational
\nEducation Commission in Mining \/ Mechanical \/ Electrical \/
\nProduction \/ Civil activities.
\n3) Should have obtained a Proficiency Certificate of not less than
\nNVQ Level Six (06) issued by a Technical \/ Vocational Training
\nInstitute recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education
\nCommission in Mining \/ Mechanical \/ Electrical \/ Production \/
\nCivil activities.
\n And
\n Five (05) years experience in the relevant subject field in a
\nGovernment Department \/ Corporation \/ Statutory Board or
\nreputed private institution after obtaining the qualification
\n4) Should have obtained a Proficiency Certificate of not less than
\nNVQ Level Five (05) issued by a Technical \/ Vocational Training
\nInstitute recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education
\nCommission in Mining \/ Mechanical \/ Electrical \/ Production \/
\nCivil activities.
\n And
\n Ten (10) years experience in the relevant subject field in a
\nGovernment Department \/ Corporation \/ Statutory Board or
\nreputed private institution after obtaining the qualification
\nInternal Applicants
\nShould have obtained one of the following qualifications:
\na) Should have fulfilled the qualifications for the above external applicants
\nb) Should have completed a satisfactory service period of at least
\nfive (05) years in the relevant subject field in Grade II of
\nManagement Assistant \u2013 Technical (MA-2-1) Service Category
\n Salary Code No. and Monthly Salary Scale relevant to JM-1-
\n2 Service Category
\n As per Management Service Circular 02\/2016
\n Salary Code No. JM -1-2 – Rs. 43,355\/- – 755×10 – 1,135×18 =
\n71,335\/-
\nSalary will be paid placed at the initial salary point of Rs. 43,355\/-
\nAge Limit : Should be not less than 22 years and not more than
\n45 years. Maximum age limit is not applicable to internal
\napplicants.
\n When internal applicants are recruited, the salary step to be
\nplaced will be decided as per the Provisions in Chapter VII of the
\nEstablishment Code.
\nAllowances and Benefits:
\nAllowances:
\n1. Cost of Living Allowance of Rs. 17,800\/- approved by the Treasury
\n2. Monthly Food Allowance \u2013 will be based on daily attendance
\n3. Monthly Attendance Incentive \u2013 Based on daily attendance
\n4. Hardship allowance of Rs. 4,000\/- (Only for employees of the
\nPulmoddai Plant)
\n5. Production Incentive paid based on monthly production
\n6. Monthly Intermediate Allowance of Rs. 5,000\/-
\n7. Paying the Communication bill as per government business
\nCircular No. 02\/2022
\n8. Professional Allowance will be paid based on active service
\nperiod relevant to the post as per Management Services
\nCircular No. 05\/2017. (Only for HM-1-1, MM-1-1 posts)
\nBenefits:
\n1. Annual Bonus
\n2. Insurance cover for Surgery and Hospitalization and Outdoor
\nTreatment
\n i. Hospitalization Insurance Cover per annum Rs. 200,000\/-
\n(including family members)
\n ii. Reimbursement of outdoor treatment bills per annum Rs.
\n20,000\/- (including family members)
\n iii. Reimbursement of Dental Treatment Bills per annum Rs.
\n5,000\/- (including family members)
\n3. Payment of Medical Expenses up to a standard (specific) limit
\n i. An allowance of Rs. 12,000\/- once in two years under indoor
\nmedical aid scheme
\n ii. Allowance of Rs. 5000\/= once a year for outdoor treatment
\nunder indoor medical aid scheme
\n iii. Rs. 12,000\/ once in two years for child birth
\n4. In addition to them will be entitled to other benefits applicable to
\npermanent employees
\n5. Employee should contribute 10% to the Employees Provident
\nFund and the Company contribution will be 15% to the
\nEmployees Provident Fund and 3% to the Employees Trust
\nFund
\nGeneral Conditions:
\n 1. Every applicant should be a citizen of Sri Lanka
\n 2. Should be physically and mentally fit to discharge the duties
\nentrusted to the post and to serve in any part of the island.
\n 3. Should have an excellent moral character.
\n 4. PAYE (Pay As You Earn) Tax will be charged from the total
\nearnings of the selected applicants
\nApplicants employed in government service\/corporations\/Statutory
\nBoards and State institutions should forward their applications
\nthrough the Heads of relevant departments \/ Institutions.
