\nPROCUREMENT OFFICER (01 POST)
\nApplications are invited from the citizens of Sri Lanka for the following post at the Tea Research
\nInstitute of Sri Lanka, Talawakelle.
\n01. PROCUREMENT OFFICER
\nJob Description:
\nResponsible for procurement of all goods and services by following Government approved
\nprocurement procedures considering cost, quality, time, durability of goods and services under
\nthe supervision of Senior Accountant \/ Accountant.
\nExternal:
\nA degree in Management or Commerce from a recognized University or Higher National
\nDiploma in Accountancy WITH one (01) year post qualifying experience in local and
\nforeign supplies work in a Government Department \/ Corporation \/ Board or a reputed
\nMercantile Establishment in an executive position.
\nAND
\nOne (01) year certifi cate course in supplies and material management.
\nInternal:
\nFive years (05) relevant and satisfactory service in Management Assistant Technological Category
\nGrade 1
\nSalary Scale: JM 1-2 (2016) Rs. 43,355\/- 10×755 – 18 x1,135 Rs.71,335\/- p.m.
\nAge: Should not be less than 22 years and not more than 45 years. The upper age limit will not
\napply to the internal candidates.
\nMethod of Selection: By a Written Competitive Examination or \/ and a Structured Interview
\nOther Benefi ts:
\ni. Accommodation (fully furnished quarters) will be provided if available or an allowance will
\nbe paid in lieu of accommodation
\nii. Medical benefi ts available according to the prevailing rules of the Institute\u2019s medical scheme.
\niii. Provident Fund: The selected candidate will be required to contribute 10% of the salary
\nto the Staff Provident Fund while the Institute will contribute 15%. The Institute will also
\ncontribute 3% to the Employees\u2019 Trust Fund.
\niv. Other fringe benefi ts applicable to the post in the Tea Research Institute.
\nThe post is permanent. Application giving full Curriculum Vitae along with the copy of birth
\ncertifi cate, copies of relevant educational and other professional qualifi cations, service certifi cates,
\nother evidence in relation to innovative skills and the names and addresses of two non-related referees
\nwho can assess the applicant’s skills and knowledge in the relevant fi eld, should be submitted.
\nApplications from offi cers in the State Service\/ Corporations\/Statutory Boards should be forwarded
