MANAGEMENT TRAINEES
\nEligibility Criteria :
\n\u2022 A degree with a minimum of 2nd class upper division or Grade Point Average (GPA) with a minimum of 3.5
\nout of a maximum of 4.0 points obtained from a local or foreign university recognized by UGC of Sri Lanka in
\nany of the following subjects\/disciplines;
\nEconomics, Statistics, Mathematics, Accounting, Banking, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration,
\nManagement (Public \/ Financial \/ Accountancy \/ Business), Marketing, Human Resource, Engineering,
\nComputer Science, Physical Science, ICT, Law, International Business, Valuation, Agriculture or any other
\ndiscipline related to banking or fi nance.
\nOR
\n\u2022 A passed fi nalist of the Institute of Bankers of SL or the Chartered Institute of Bankers \u2013 UK (CIB) together
\nwith a degree from a local or foreign university recognized by the University Grants Commission of SL relating
\nto the above mentioned subjects\/disciplines.
\nOR
\n\u2022 Full qualifi cation (passed fi nalists) of one of the following professional bodies;
\n\u2022 The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL)
\n\u2022 The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants of UK (CIMA \u2013 UK)
\n\u2022 The Association of Chartered Certifi ed Accountants of UK (ACCA \u2013 UK)
\n\u2022 The Institute of Certifi ed Management Accountants of Sri Lanka (CMA \u2013 SL)
\n\u2022 The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM \u2013 UK)
\n\u2022 The Chartered Financial Analyst Programme of the CFA Institute (CFA \u2013 USA)
\n\u2022 The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICA \u2013 EW)
\nOR
\n\u2022 Attorney-at-Law.
\nAge Limit : Below 30 years as at the closing date of applications.
\nTerms and Conditions relating to the Position :
\n\u2022 The training period will be two years and a monthly training allowance of Rs. 75,000\/- will be paid during the
\ntraining period.
\n\u2022 While the Selected candidates should consent to serve in any part of the country, it is compulsory for them
\nto serve a minimum of 5 years continuously including the training period in the District \/ Region where they
\nwill be initially attached to.
\n\u2022 Upon fulfi lling the requirements during the training period to the satisfaction of the Bank, will be considered
\nto be absorbed in the permanent cadre in the Executive Grade III (3).<\/p>\n
BANKING ASSISTANTS
\nEligibility Criteria :
\n\u2022 G.C.E. (A\/L) Examination with three passes, excluding General English.
\n\u2022 G.C.E. (O\/L) Examination with six passes with fi ve Credits, including Mathematics, Sinhala\/Tamil language
\nand English.
\n\u2022 Knowledge in using MS Offi ce package.
\nAge Limit : Below 24 years as at the closing date of applications.
\nTerms and Conditions relating to the Position :
\n\u2022 The training period will be two years and a monthly training allowance of Rs. 45,000\/- will be paid during the
\n1st year, and a monthly training allowance of Rs. 60,000\/- will be paid during 2nd year of the training period.
\n\u2022 While the Selected candidates should consent to serve in any part of the country, it is compulsory for them
\nto serve a minimum of 5 years continuously including the training period in the District \/ Region where they
\nwill be initially attached to.
\n\u2022 Upon fulfi lling the requirements during the training period to the satisfaction of the Bank, will be considered
\nto be absorbed in the permanent cadre as Banking Assistant, Grade VI (1).
