VACANCY – POST OF ACCOUNTANT
\nA vacancy for immediate engagement exists for the post of company
\naccountant to be in charge of the accounts division of a group of
\nestablished companies in operations for over 40 years in the
\nconstruction industry.
\nThe minimum criteria considered is as follows:
\n1. An experienced accountant (preferably chartered)
\n2. A Good Command of English and Sinhala languages
\n3. A pleasing and friendly personality
\n4. Possess leadership qualities to head the small team of
\nsupporting (accounts) staff members
\n5. Profi ciency in the Quick Books accounting package
\n6. To be IT literate in terms of relevant supporting software and
\nonline platforms
\n7. Knowledge of current fi nancial regulations and experience in
\ncompliance with same
\n8. Ability to perform tax fi lings
\n9. Minimum 2 years\u2019 experience in a similar capacity
\nThe successful candidate would be required to maintain up-todate
\nand accurate fi nancial records; prepare fi nancial statements,
\nreports and analysis for the management; handle accounts payable
\nand receivable; perform and assist in tax fi ling and audits; perform
\ngeneral accounting tasks including data entry and reconciliations;
\nmanagement in budgetary control to ensure the profi tability of the
\noperations.
