Vacancy for Project Coordinator

Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Women, Child Affairs and Social Empowerment (MOWCASE) launched a four-year technical cooperation project for Women’s Economic Empowerment through Entrepreneurship, Leadership and Networking.

The Project is expected to conduct pilot activities for women’s economic empowerment in Ampara and Moneragala districts, aiming at establishing and institutionalizing a model for women’s economic empowerment through entrepreneurship development in collaboration with the private sector, and enhancement of women’s leadership and networking.

In order to achieve the above goals & objectives, the project is looking for following two (2) full-time staff in Ampara and Moneragala districts offices, with deep understanding of women’s empowerment and entrepreneurship, development challenges and opportunities in Sri Lanka to be worked with JICA Project Team.

Project Coordinator/Women’s Economic Empowerment Expert – 02 Positions

Qualifications and experiences;
•
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Rural Development, Economics, Social Science or other relevant fields.
•
At least ten (10) years of working experience in the related fields.
•
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Sinhalese and/or Tamil.

Project Management Officer – 02 Positions

Qualifications and experiences;

•
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Sociology, Gender or other relevant fields
•
At least three (3) years of working experience in the related fields.
•
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Sinhalese and/or Tamil.
