Deputy General Manager

The Colombo Young Men’s Buddhist Association, the leading Buddhist
organization in Sri Lanka is seeking for a dynamic, self-motivated and high
performing individual with proven leadership skills, communication skills,
management skills, and problem-solving skills, supervisory and team leading
skills to take over the responsibilities of the position of Deputy General
Manager.
The Deputy General Manager (DGM) is overseeing the organization’s
operations, ensuring the facilities are well maintained, analyzing and
implementing policies and procedures, ensure compliance with organization’s
rules, regulations, principles, and internal control systems, undertaking
budgetary responsibilities,overseeing short-term and long-term business plans
and projects, support maintaining the cash flow, hiring, training, and evaluating
staff, solving internal and external grievances,presenting reports to the GM
and Board of Management, and assuming the GM’s duties in his absence.
DGM is also required to ensure that the operations and services comply with
the policies and strategic direction set by the Board of Management, and all
applicable laws and regulations.
Required Skills, Qualifications & Work Experience:
• A degree in Management or similar field
• 15 years of work experience in management field or in a related area
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Sinhala
languages
• Result driven, organized individual with a high sense of integrity is
preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
• Computer literate and fluency in Microsoft applications
• Excellent administration and people management skills
• Ability to work after office hours and on weekends when required
• Ability to travel out of Colombo on a regular basis
Remuneration : Negotiable.
